The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the New Jersey Department of Health (NJ DOH) have been providing school districts in New Jersey with
information on how to slow or prevent the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as Coronavirus, with special emphasis on measures that schools and families can
take to protect students and staff.
The Winslow Township School District will continue to take precautions to reduce the spread of influenza-like illnesses and follow the Centers for
Disease Control (CDC) Healthy Schools guidelines as it pertains to disinfecting our buildings and school buses.
As we receive updated information from the CDC and the NJ DOH, we will keep the community informed of any changes or alerts that may occur. In the meantime, we are asking all parents to take preventative steps to help reduce the spread of viruses in our schools and community:
o Stay home if you are sick;
o Avoid close contact with people who are sick;
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth;
o Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, not your hands;
o Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe;
o Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; and,
o Review and follow CDC travel advisories when planning to travel.
In order to keep our schools and community virus free, we must continue to work together.
