Superintendent's Message
August 27, 2026 Dear Parents/Guardians: On behalf of the Winslow Township School District, I would like to welcome our students and families back to a new school year. During the summer, we have been working to improve our facilities so your children can return to safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments. Our staff members have been participating in professional development opportunities designed to strengthen instruction and refine our best practices. These efforts will help ensure that we are prepared to support every student from the first day of school. This school year we will work toward greater educational coherency across the district as we continue to focus on student achievement. We also want to remind families that attending school regularly and arriving on time each day are important to student learning and success and must be a top priority in your home. Beginning this school year, new guidelines approved by the New Jersey Department of Education will go into effect which restrict the use of internet-enabled devices (cell phones, smartwatches, etc.), during the school day. Please refer to the opening-of-school letter from your child’s building principal for specific information regarding these new requirements and how they will be implemented at your child’s school. We have several administrative changes for the 2026-2027 school year. These leadership changes include Ms. Lori Kelly, Director of Special Services; Mr. Richard Dawkins, Supervisor of Special Services; Dr. Sybil Girard, Principal of Winslow Township High School; Mr. Jamil McEnnis, Assistant Principal at Winslow Township High School; Mr. Joel Howard, Assistant Principal at Winslow Township High School; Mr. Nathan Davis, Assistant Principal at Winslow Township Middle School; Mr. Kurtis Marella, Principal of School No. 6; Dr. Stacy Diggs, Principal of School No. 4; and, Dr. Lynette Brown, Principal of School No. 1. In addition, we are proud to welcome 38 new certificated staff and 9 new support staff members to the Winslow Township School District. Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to a successful school year for the entire Winslow Township School District community. The first day of school for students is Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Sincerely, Mark Pease, Superintendent Be Well, Be Kind, and Go Eagles! EWC |
