WTHS Students Receive Awards at Model UN

Congratulations to Kehinde Olabode (Grade 11) and Taiwo Olabode (Grade 11) as they both received "Best Delegate" Awards at Model UN at Cherry Hill East High School last weekend.

Kehinde was awarded “Best Delegate” as the delegate from Australia in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights: Religious Persecution and Nationalism Committee, and Taiwo was awarded an “Honorable Mention” for Best Delegate as the delegate from India in the Security Council: The Situation in Kashmir committee.

Taiwo and Kehinde have both won the “Best Delegate” award with gavels this school year for the first time in Winslow history. Thank you to Ms. Feighery, Leadership Club Advisor, and congratulations to these two students.  We are Winslow Proud!

Model UN is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and its other multilateral bodies where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as gender equality, climate action, global health, and more.
